Our people
Our staff are at the very heart of our service, and they are immensely valued by both the Trust and the communities they serve. By helping us to provide safe, effective and responsive care for all, every staff member makes a positive difference to people’s lives across the North East every day.
Our Board
Our Trust Board has overall responsibility for the running of NEAS
The Board sets the strategic direction of the Trust, oversees our organisational performance, and is responsible for ensuring we deliver high-quality care for all patients. The Board also guides how we respond to current challenges and how we plan for future priorities.
Our Trust Board is made up of 15 members – six executive directors (including our Chief Executive), seven non-executive directors and two directors.
Equality and Diversity
We actively promote equality and social inclusion across the Trust to ensure our services and employment opportunities meet the needs of diverse communities.
We recognise our responsibility to provide equal opportunities, eliminate discrimination and foster good relations in our activities as an employer, service provider and partner.
We are a proudly inclusive employer, and our equality and diversity principles apply to all colleagues, job applicants, patients, carers, patients’ representatives, members of the public and partner organisations.
